Salicylic acid is a powerful ally to incorporate into your preparations for oily, dull or acne-prone skin. Purifying and keratolytic, it stimulates skin renewal, smoothes imperfections and fights blackheads, ingrown hairs and dandruff. It also improves the conservation of aqueous products and can be used to boost the effectiveness of preservatives. An active ingredient in high demand and which we offer in plant origin, in concentrated powder at ≥99%.

INCI : Salicylic acid

Origin: France

Properties: Antibacterial and keratolytic cosmetic active ingredient (which removes the keratin layer of the skin)

Uses: Anti-acne products (max dosage 2%), anti-dandruff (max dosage 3%), anti-warts, peeling, exfoliant

Focus: From 0.5% to 3%*
*If used at concentrations greater than 2%, octyldodecanol or propylene glycol should be used as preservative.
*Soluble in water

Powdered salicylic acid can be added directly to a finished cream or lotion without first dissolving it in water or other solvent. Salicylic acid is prepared from dry sodium phenoxide and carbon dioxide.
