Properties : She facilitates coloring hair for dark shades  : it allows better adhesion of coloring powders, such as indigo, to the hair. In the form of a mask, she prevents hair loss, brightens the complexion and purifies the skin. She is useful in toothpastes (tones teeth, cleans the mouth and soothes the gums which bleed).

Powder toothpaste recipe (about 50ml)

  • Gum arabic        12 g
  • Bentonite clay 10 g
  • Licorice powder: 4 g
  • Amla powder              2 g
  • Essential oil of your choice, peppermint, wintergreen, clove, tea tree or natural flavor (melon, grape, banana), 2 to 5 drops

Variants:

* Add coconut butter to create a compact dough 

* Use calcium-magnesium powder instead of bentonite clay for a clearer, mineralizing toothpaste.

1. Transfer all the ingredients in a mortar or bowl.
2. Mix using a pestle or fork to obtain a powder.    homogeneous. You can also pass the powder through a sieve.
3. Transfer the preparation to a jar in amber glass.

Uses of vegetable powders: With few exceptions, plant powders are not soluble in water, although several molecules they contain are. For best results, it is best to extract these molecules in water, alcohol, or even oil (some molecules are fat-soluble). Géniale

J'utilise la poudre d'Amla et la poudre de guimauve, quantité égale de chacune, diluées dans l'eau pour faire une lotion de rinçage. Mes cheveux sont minces et mous, cette lotion leur donnent corps et tenue ;-)
