Properties: Expectorant, mucolytic, respiratory decongestant, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. Traditionally used to promote respiratory comfort in cases of colds, coughs or congestion.

Softer than globular eucalyptus, radiant eucalyptus essential oil generally contains 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol), but a lower proportion of alpha-pinene and an aromatic profile that is often less powerful. It is traditionally favored over globular eucalyptus in certain respiratory preparations intended for children. However, its 1,8-cineole content remains high and requires special precautions: it should not be used in young children without the advice of a qualified professional.
