Natural gum mainly harvested in Saharan Africa (solidified descending sap exudate extracted from the trunk and bottom of trees of the acacia family, named Talha and Hashab in Sudan). It is an edible acidic polysaccharide in the form of a mixture of salts potassium, magnesium and calcium (creamy white powder). Soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol.

Acacia is a tree of the Fabaceae family.

INCI : Acacia gum

Properties: Thickening, emulsifying (oil in water), protective, softening. Gum arabic is also a natural prebiotic, meaning it promotes the development of beneficial bacteria in the intestine.

Uses: Emulsions, serums, balms and ointments, makeup (mascaras, gel eyeliners), liquid soaps, aqueous extracts

Usage: To add to the aqueous phase

Focus: From 1 to 10%

Recipe:

Anti-wrinkle facial serum (45ml)

• 40 ml ofprickly pear seed oil
  
• 4g gum arabic
  

Heat the prickly pear seed oil over low heat and add the gum arabic. Mix using a blender to break up the gum and obtain a uniform mixture. Bottle in our 50 ml bottle with Glass dropper and label. Apply morning and evening to the eye contour, around the mouth and other areas prone to wrinkles.
