Properties: Antispasmodic, nervous relaxant, anti-inflammatory and skin balancing. Traditionally used to promote relaxation, soothe nervous tensions and support feminine comfort, particularly during menstrual discomfort. Also appreciated in the care of oily skin and oily hair.

Rich in linalyl acetate and linalool, two molecules characteristic of its mild fragrance and its relaxing effects, clary sage essential oil (Salvia sclarea) is particularly appreciated in aromatherapy to promote relaxation and emotional well-being. It also contains small amounts of sclareol, a diterpene sometimes wrongly associated with estrogenic activity. Unlike medicinal sage, it is generally very low in thujone, which gives it a different toxicological profile.
