Aroma: Fresh, resinous, woody and balsamic, characteristic of Quebec coniferous forests.
Properties: Expectorant, respiratory decongestant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and tonic. Traditionally used to promote respiratory comfort in cases of colds, coughs or bronchial congestion, as well as in massage oils intended to relieve muscle and joint tension.

Rich in monoterpenes, notably in beta-pinene and alpha-pinene, as well as in bornyl acetate, the essential oil of Fir balsam has a aromatic profile both invigorating and soothing. Emblematic of Canadian forests, it is particularly appreciated when diffused for its fresh and enveloping scent which evokes a walk in the forest.
