Rich in 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol), generally its majority compound, globular eucalyptus has a powerful and penetrating aroma. More intense than radiant eucalyptus, it is especially favored in respiratory preparations intended for adults. Its use is not recommended in young children due to the risks associated with 1,8-cineole, including respiratory and neurological reactions.
