Properties: Antispasmodic, carminative, digestive tonic and muscle relaxant. Traditionally used to promote digestive comfort, particularly in cases of bloating and intestinal spasms, as well as in massage preparations intended to relax the muscles.

Rich in methylchavicol (estragole), main aromatic compound of Excotic Basil of methylchavicol chemotype, this essential oil is distinguished by its characteristic anise scent and its antispasmodic properties traditionally sought after. It is particularly appreciated in aromatherapy for digestive comfort and muscular relaxation.

Precautions: Due to its richness in estragole, a substance presenting genotoxic and carcinogenic concerns in experimental studies, this essential oil requires special precautions. Its use should remain limited and highly diluted. Internal use without professional supervision is not recommended, as is its use during pregnancy, breastfeeding and in children.
