Bag of 50 strips of pH paper from 0 to 14, with an accuracy of 0.5.
Be careful not to soak in your product, just apply on the strip.
In general, we recommend the following pH:
How to read your strips
From top to bottom on your reading grid:- The upper line allows you to read pH between 0 and 6.0 (beyond 6.0, the color of your strip having turned to the darkest shade, it will not change and you will not notice any more evolution what is normal)-The 2nd line allows you to read pH between 3.0 and 9.0 (below 3.0, there will be no color variation which is normal, beyond 9.0, the color of your strip having turned to the darkest shade, it will not change anymore and you will no longer notice any evolution which is normal)-The 3rd line allows you to read pH between 9.0 and 12.0 (for a pH below 9.0 or beyond 12.0 and on this same principle, this line will be unsuitable for reading the pH)- The 4th line allows you to read pH between 12.0 and 14.0 (for a pH below 12.0 This line will be unsuitable for reading the pH)So to read a pH you just have to look at a or even 2 lines which you see the colors varies
To have an estimate of the pH of a solid soap, it is necessary to wet it with a little water and rub the strip on the wet area so that it soaks up with concentrated soap.
The pH will be an approximation since the pH of concentrated soap water is thus measured and not pure soap, but this gives sufficient information for the use in "house" cosmetics.
